Tips on how to have better sleep and rest (Intranet only)

Are you getting quality sleep? Ask these questions:

How long does it take for you to fall asleep?

2.

How many times do you wake up?

3.

What percentage of time spent in bed are you actually asleep?

4.

How do you feel in the day?

Try a sleep diary. Note down:

1.

Wake and sleep times

2.

Hours slept

3.

How you felt when you woke up

4.

Time of nap

5.

Time of caffeine intake

6.

What your sleep was disrupted by

Try these for a good sleep:

1.

Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night to allow recharge of body and mind

2.

Practise good sleep hygiene, e.g. avoid caffeine intake too close to bedtime, limit screens before bedtime
